The Shroud Of Imagination

Imagination leads to Wonder. Wonder leads to Curiosity. Curiosity leads to Passion. Passion leads to Purpose. Purpose leads to You.
For long as I remember I believed imagination is the seed of creation and purpose. Imagination is also a constant fuel source for motivation and inspiration. It is all these things and more – from thought experiments to building worlds to creating ideas to solving problems to daring mighty things.

Imagination is a form of meditation where the mind and heart go dancing, hand in hand with the soul.

With imagination, we can teleport to other dimensions, travel through time, and turn dreams into reality. There are endless possibilities. In a fun imaginary kind of way, it is like having your own universe where anything is possible. Imagine applying imagination to daily life.

We must not get lost in our imagination and lose our minds. We must not let it control us and enforce our biases. We must not allow it to blur the lines between what is real and what is not. Instead, we must treat imagination as a tool, as a way to get on our way on our cosmic journey.

We all have imagination inside of us. For some it comes naturally, for others it takes work – it takes the right kind of practice to tap into our imagination. We can train our minds to imagine.

I have always been an imaginative thinker, a dreamer of possibilities. I guess it is both a curse and a blessing, but it is how we use it that matters.

There are certain techniques we can use to help us be imaginative. For example, accessing Flow (or being in the zone) where we alter our state of consciousness to be more creative and thus imaginative. Another technique I use along with Flow is futures thinking – after all, I am a space futurist. Whatever the technique, imagination is one of the most effective tools in our creative toolbox that enable us to craft our own narratives.

On that note, my imaginary friends are calling, to come outside of reality and play. That’s my cue. The cosmic playground awaits. Spaceships of our imagination are standing by, waiting on our command. OK to GO!

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere”.
– Carl Sagan

See you on the imaginary flip side!
